Every now and then, I stop by a forum and eavesdrop on what people talk about. As it relates to the Law of Attraction, it seems that there’s a group of people that firmly believes in this amazing power, and also there’s a group that questions it, and doesn’t really believe that it’s that simple.
One comment I saw from someone who saw “The Secret” and stated that “…where’s the proof? … it can’t work just like that…”
My first reaction was that it’s just another cynic. However, after I thought about it for a while, it made me realize that there are a lot of people like this guy. They don’t believe in anything or anybody. They’re always looking for the catch.
When I was recruiting people in my former business, and I would do a meeting, talking about the opportunity, there would always be someone in the room who would be a total skeptic and question everything.
I remember 2 specific times. One lady came up to me after my presentation and said, that even though everything I said made sense and might even be true, but no one “out there” in the world would do this because everyone is skeptical and negative, and who would believe this.
Another time, was a long time ago, when I was first starting, and talked to a someone I knew about coming to the office I was starting to work out of to talk about the business. To which he replied, “Oh it’s just a bunch of salesmen telling you how you can get rich selling whatever they offer, I heard all this BS before. . . “ And this is from a guy who was making $7 an hour.
The first lady is almost 50 years old today, and never in her life made more than $25,000 in a year.
Now, here’s what this tells me. People view themselves just like they see the world around them, and it’s exactly what they attract into their life.
The guy who made a comment about “The Secret” not being that simple and not working the way it’s presented, attracts to himself everything the opposite of what he wants. Because that is how the Law of Attraction works. What you focus on you get. And the more emotion and intensity behind the thought, the more likely you are to get it.
People like this lady, who see everyone as negative, and cynical, and not trustworthy, attract THOSE kind of people into their lives. Unfortunately for this lady, that is exactly who she attracts.
People who see everything as a scam, or always looking for a catch, attract those things in their life.
People who are deeply convinced that they’re not lucky, are right, they’re not. And they have lots of stories to prove their point. And the more stories they tell, the “unluckier” they get.
Success breeds success, and failure breeds failure.
So next time you’re in a situation where you have to look at something or someone, check your thoughts and your feelings.
Are you thinking and feeling as if you’re expecting success, or the opposite.
Because either way you will be right.
