The Secret To Making Them Want To Read It
July 25th, 2008 Vitaly Grinblat
Here’s a very profound idea about marketing your business.
This one could make all the difference in your response and how people perceive you.
Before I share it with you, I assume you do want to grow your business and your bottom line, right?
Let me illustrate it for you out of my own file cabinet of experiences in sales.
In my previous life, I had to call a lot of prospects and set up appointments to go see them.
Now who likes getting a phone call at their home from a sales person. And then having that sales person come to their house and sit there trying to sell them something (even if it’s good for them and they need it).
So I had to always make it look like NOT a sales situation. Of course when I start talking to them about coming over and meeting with them to discuss their financial situation, they knew that it was going to be a sales call, BUT I always made it look like a very casual experience.
On the phone I would tell them that I’d like to pop by and share some ideas with them. Same ideas that I shared with their friends who thought that you would benefit tremendously by taking a look at it.
When I came over, I always dressed business casual, never a suite. That’s a big no, no. Someone in a suite with a briefcase, has SALESMAN written all over him.
I would talk to them about them and their kids. I’d ask them some questions about their goals and dreams, to make them very comfortable with me, and only then I would go into some of the details of what I do.
I would do everything in my power to make it look like I’m not there to sell them anything.
Let’s go back to your marketing.
Look at your marketing material, however you market. Whether it’s a sales letter, a website, or an ad in the paper.
Does it have SALESPERSON written all over it? Does it smell like someone trying to sell you something?
The minute they sense sales, they’re gone forever never to return again. And you’ve just wasted an opportunity to tell your story.
So look over your pieces, and see how can you make it stand out, and yet be inviting and non-threatening.
Don’t worry about making huge claims and big promises. Everyone does that. Be different and unique.
Make it look valuable.

This One Will Make You Think . . . I Promise
July 24th, 2008 Vitaly Grinblat
I don’t know about you, but I can’t stand traffic.
Thanks to my lifestyle, I don’t usually get stuck in one, but sometimes, I forget that it’s rush hour time, as I get in my car.
Yesterday was one of those days, and I was on my way to my friend’s, who’s also a business associate, shop to pick something up.
Without looking at the time, I left my house at 5pm, without even a thought about rush hour traffic, I called and told him that I’m on my way and I’ll be there in 30 minutes or so.
About an hour and fifteen minutes later, I finally got there. The traffic was heavy, although as compared to other major metro areas, it’s not that bad.
As I was slowly moving at a pace of 20-25 mph, I’m looking around the busy highway and all I can see is a bunch of people, with a blank look on their face, slowly moving to get home.
I imagine that they go through this routine everyday, in the morning and at night.
By the looks on the faces of most of these people they’re not that excited about this whole segment of their day. And yet they continue to do the same thing, going to the same job they don’t particularly like, working for a wage they feel is too low, driving in rush-hour traffic that they hate. And in our city, most people would say that they’re lucky to even have a job nowadays.
Is this a way to live?
Why do these people allow themselves to stay stuck in this trance of being in a rat race?
There could be a number of reasons, but the main one is they don’t want to change.
They’re actually ok with it.
Oh they may say they want more money, a better job, an easier simplified life. But do they really?
Is there some hidden benefit to staying where they’re at?
I think there is. If there wasn’t one, they would do something about it wouldn’t they?
How about you? Are you stuck in an experience you’re not that thrilled about?
So what are you doing about it?
Are you reading the right books?
Are you associating with the right people?
Are you associating with the right people?
Do you plant the seeds of prosperity and abundance into your mind or thoughts of lack and limitation?
And finally are you taking action, moving forward, and creating the life you desire, or do you just wish and dream about it?
There’s an old story I’d like to share with you.
A traveler walks into a convenience store in a small town to ask for directions. As he approaches the clerk behind the counter, he sees a dog that’s howling on the floor.
The man asks the clerk why is your dog howling, and the clerk says, oh never mind him.
So the man starts asking for directions, and the dog continues to howl a bit louder. He asks once again why is the dog howling, is there something wrong with him? And the clerk once again says, don’t pay any attention to this, there’s nothing wrong.
So they continue talking and now the dog is howling really loud. So the man stops and says, there’s something wrong with your dog, tell me what is wrong with this dog?
And the clerk says, there’s nothing wrong with the dog, he’s just laying on a nail that’s stuck in the floor, and that’s why he’s howling.
The man looks at the clerk with a puzzled look, and says, why in the world is your dog laying on a nail?
And the clerk answers him with a very profound statement. He says, sir, he’s laying on a nail, because he’s not uncomfortable enough yet.
There’s not much more than I can add to this story.
Except that we all need to look inside ourselves for the real reason why we experience what we do.
Have a comment about this? Don’t be shy and speak up.
And also, feel free to bookmark this post so others out there can read this. This maybe a wake up call for some.

Is This Slowing You Down Or Fueling Your Desire?
July 20th, 2008 Vitaly Grinblat
I’d like to share with you one of the biggest, if not the #1 reason why people don’t live up to their potential. This is THE thing that stops most people dead in their tracks, and keeps them from achieving lots more success.
But first let me tell you a true story about someone I’ve worked with in the past.
This guy is a very well educated person. Has 2 college degrees, comes from a family full of professionals and is highly motivated.
When I recruited him to work in my agency, he was very excited. He saw the big possibilities of this industry immediately and I really didn’t have to tell him much about the opportunity, as he saw the promise of big financial rewards him.
One thing I remember very vividly is his comment to me that he doesn’t want to work for anyone and that he’s an entrepreneur.
Every time we talked he was the one telling me his new ideas on how to grow the business, and how much business is out there, etc…
But the bottom line in that business, as in any other business, is you’ve got to see people.
You have to go on appointments.
Days and weeks went by and he wasn’t setting any appointments or doing anything that would move his business.
I would talk to him daily, telling him that he needed to call people, and set up appointments. Explaining to him that he needed to fill his pipeline and all of that.
And still, there were almost no results. He might have had 1 or 2 appointments in a month. Which is enough to tell you that he wasn’t making any money.
He even went to an advanced sales training seminar with me, and studied for 3 days like a mad man. Memorizing everything, all the closes and the objection handling techniques.
At the end of the seminar, I told him that this is great, but you need to have a someone that will actually give you an objection for you overcome. To which he replied – “Of course”
A few more months went by and he quit the business and got a 9-5 job with a paycheck.
I thought about this for a long time. Why didn’t he do anything.
He wanted to. He put the time and the effort to learn the business, study sales. He had a good personality and seemed to be motivated.
So what was it that stopped him?
Eventually I came to a conclusion that the thing that killed his chances of success was this – Read the rest of this entry »

I Have An Important Question For You . . .
July 13th, 2008 Vitaly Grinblat
Sorry it’s a been a while since I had a post, but what a month it was.
I’d like to ask you a very important question. But first let me tell you what’s been happening.
We spent the entire month of June in Florida. Took my daughter to Disney, then we spent a week in Palm Beach. And then 2 weeks in North Miami. And as soon as we got back, we moved into our new home.
Whew!
But it’s exciting. After all how many people can go away for a month and not miss a beat as far as their business is concerned.
A few weeks ago, I wrote a post about a letter that changed my life. One of the things that I very vividly imagined is moving into large new home. Having high cathedral ceilings, open floor plan, a large back yard.
The house we just moved in resembles everything that I’ve thought of and imagined. I wanted an office with a wooden door and window panels, and it’s exactly how it looks. The kitchen with granite counter tops and nice big island, stainless steel appliances, with big eating area overlooking a 2 level deck is very close to how I imagined it.
What’s even more exciting is that this past week, as we’re moving in, I get several invitations for joint ventures in product developments and copywriting/consulting services.
The scary part is that while in Florida, I was brainstorming how I’m going to do this when I get back. But the people actually contacted me.
Now here’s my question for you.

Let’s Not Focus On Hulk Hogan’s Son, Instead . . .
June 24th, 2008 Vitaly Grinblat
I’m still in Florida, going on our 4th week now.
Wow, to be away, going to the beach everyday sipping on coconut juice under the palm tree is absolutely amazing. Someone back home asked me if we’re tired of the sun and the ocean.
Let me think about this . . . uh – no.
I don’t think you can ever get tired of this.
Anyways, I was flipping the channels the other day, in between the European soccer championship and Wimbledon, and there was something on one of the news channels about the whole Hulk Hogan son’s case.
In case you haven’t heard, the famous pro-wrestlers son got in accident while street racing, and his friend who was riding with him got very seriously hurt.
I usually don’t involve myself in this kind of stuff, for obvious reasons.
But for the first time a miracle happened, although it only lasted a moment. Read the rest of this entry »

Guaranteed Way To Get Rich
June 21st, 2008 Vitaly Grinblat
Can there be such a thing as a guaranteed way to get rich?
YES!
Let me explain.

You see everyone’s out there talking about overnight riches, making fast money.
Well, I don’t believe in overnight anything.
I do believe that you can get there fast and with the right mindset you can attract lots of success to you, as I teach in my Business Attraction course.
But what I’d like to talk to you about today, is a guaranteed slow way to get rich.
Why would anybody want to do it the slow way?
Well, even though we all want instant business success, I know you’re not naïve enough to believe that the first business you start will get you there. It might, and I hope it does for you, but most people go through a trial and error process, gaining experience, etc.
Yes you can shortcut the process with specific tools and strategies, but at the same time, don’t you think it would also be wise to have a game plan in place to make sure you that you have strategy in place to become wealthy no matter what?
I call it financial independence.
And I don’t see anyone talking about that. Accumulating enough money to be able to live like you want to live, do whatever you want to do, and money is not a consideration.
Anyone interested in that?
Here’s the simple game plan. Read the rest of this entry »

Places To Find Opportunities
June 12th, 2008 Vitaly Grinblat
I always get a kick out of people who say that these are tough times and it’s hard to make money.
Some people don’t just come out and say that, but they definitely think it. I know because every time I hear someone say that they’re just trying to make a buck or that they’re just trying to survive, I know that it’s exactly what they’re attracting.
Making little money, struggling, surviving, etc….
The opportunities that exist today are incredible and they’re everywhere.
Look at the huge opportunities that exist because of the 76 million (that’s US only) baby boomer generation.
All these people need to talk to someone about their money. There’s a growing health insurance need. Long term care planning.
How about travel, the need to downsize their home, or possibly a move down south or maybe a vacation home.
This presents opportunities in the financial services industry, investments, insurance. The travel industry. Real estate.
But baby boomers aren’t the only contributing factor. What about all the people with pets, there are many needs that these pet owners are facing and are actively looking to solve them.
The technology is changing all the time and the opportunities within the tech industries are growing all the time.
How about sports. How many sports fanatics are out there that are gladly spending money on things that they think will enhance their experience or make them better.
The opportunities are the biggest where you can provide the most value to people.
So you always have to be thinking value. What can I do to provide value for people?
Another huge opportunity to make money is Read the rest of this entry »

This Letter Changed My Life
June 10th, 2008 Vitaly Grinblat
Several years ago, one of the things I’ve come to realize, is that no matter how much goal setting you do and focus on the things you want you have, the reason most people don’t get what they want is because there’s an inner conflict within.
When we have energetic balance, everything flows our way, but when there’s lots of negative energy that literally gets stuck within us, we attract that which don’t want.
You see, everything we’ve ever experienced in our lives, or more accurately our perception of those experiences get recorded and stored in our subconscious mind. What it really is, it’s energy.
The good, the bad, the ugly, everything gets stored, and this energy vibrates within us.
I’m not going to get into a long explanation of how it all works, but the key is to understand that we may not be aware that we have this energy within us, and that it’s working like a magnetic force.
At that time I was doing pretty good, but not anywhere near as good as I wanted to. I was frustrated and somewhat disappointed by my results.
It seemed like I was doing everything I needed to do, but still wasn’t getting the results I had set for myself.
Once I realized that this energy within us is responsible for the things that we attract, I needed to figure out a way to clear it.
In other words get rid of the negative energy.
Imagine having a reset button like on a computer, that you can just press, and it all gets reset.
Since then I’ve used several techniques for that.
Today I’d like to share with you the first one I’ve learned.
For the first time ever I called an energy therapist that explained to me how it all works, and suggested that I Read the rest of this entry »

The Panda Got The Secret . . .
June 7th, 2008 Vitaly Grinblat
Yesterday I took my daughter to see Kung Fu Panda. I thought it was awesome.
I have to admit, I love martial arts movies (and cartoons).
But to me there was much deeper, positive message in this kids cartoon.
Po, the clumsy panda noodle-maker who always dreamed of being a kung fu fighter, accidentally got a chance to be among the best of kung fu students and study with the great Shifu, a protégé of the great kung fu Master Oogway.
Being chosen as The Dragon Warrior, only he could read from the sacred Dragon Scroll that contained the secret of extreme power, and who ever read it would be lethal in his skills.

After opening the scroll, Po saw that there’s nothing there. But just a little later he realizes with the help of his father, that the secret power is inside.
His dad a famous noodle-maker was known for his special secret ingredient, finally let Po in on the secret…

The Wings Got The Cup . . . But How Does That Effect You?
June 6th, 2008 Vitaly Grinblat
It’s here. The best team in NHL did it again.
Maybe you don’t agree, that’s ok.
I’m just excited that my home team finally did what they were supposed to do and are taking the Stanley Cup back to Hockeytown.

Here’s an interesting observation that I’d like to share with you as it relates to sports.
Everyone that follows any kind of sport, gets really into the game and for a lot of people it’s a part of their life.
For me, I wouldn’t consider myself a sports fanatic. But I do love competition and I love watching others compete, as I think it brings out the best in them.
Let me tell you something that happened back in 1997.
The Detroit Red Wings won the Stanley Cup for the first time after four decades,
At the time I was working in a retail store, while doing financial services on a part time basis.
One of my co-workers who was hockey fanatic, Read the rest of this entry »
