I’d like to confess about something that I haven’t really discussed with most people since I’ve entered the world of online marketing.
I have a huge UNFAIR ADVANTAGE over most people.
You see to make money online, offline, in any kind of a business you have to SELL something to someone.
I know that you know that, however the reality is that most people have never sold anything in their life and even though some think there’s nothing to it, I beg to differ.
Today, more so than ever before people are busy with their lives and are pretty much immune to most advertising that surrounds them. We get hit with so many advertising messages per day that we become numb to them, UNLESS something jumps out and catches our attention…

I’ve been lucky that I actually sold my way out of a financial disaster that I was in to a six-figure income. I did it face to face, in direct sales, selling financial products and services, since 1995.
To get an appointment, I had to prospect any which way possible to get in front of a prospect and then I had to close them on sitting down with me to talk about their financial future.
I made thousands and thousands of phone calls… approached hundreds of people in shopping centers, malls, gas station, door to door… you name it, I did it.
When I met with the prospect and their spouse, it was in their home with the kids and the dog running around the table and I had to drive my message of…
- Why I was there
- Why they needed what I had
- And why they should do business with me and no one else
Talk about a challenge, especially since I was only 19 years old when I started.
Over the years I’ve met with thousands of people face to face to briefly tell them what I did, which led to over 1,500 qualified appointments with couples in their home. Qualified means that they were married, specific age that’s ideal for the products I had, homeowners, and had a job.
I’ve heard every possible objection you can imagine and figured out every possible way to overcome them.
As a result I developed 1,183 clients to be exact, that’s 8 out of 10 people became my clients.
You see there are very specific reasons why people say yes. And it’s not how good the products are, although that’s important. It’s not the pretty brochures or the name of the company or the brand you represent.
There’s a hidden psychology of uncovering your prospect’s core buying decisions. Being able to relate to them and hit their emotional triggers that cause them to want to buy your product or service.
Getting them to say yes to you, in spite of all other options available to them, and get them to do it now, without procrastinating and putting you off.
In your online or offline marketing, your ads, websites, and sales letters are the ones doing the selling for you. And they need to the same job that a salesperson would do when in front of your prospect.

- Catch their attention
- Get them to want to continue reading your message
- Engage their emotions while hitting their hot buttons
- And most importantly… MOVE THEM TO ACTION.
