One of the things that I’ve done for years, is my early morning success ritual or EMSR. I heard about this concept from Tommy Newberry, the author of “Success Is Not An Accident”. EMSR is simply a daily routine you conduct in the morning to get yourself started.
It can be whatever you’d like it to be, exercising, listening to upbeat music, meditating, or whatever you feel like doing.
What I found is that one of the things that I like to do in the morning, which helps me get my day started right, is to review my goals, and read something positive and motivating.
I know that most people usually don’t have a lot of time in the morning, so it doesn’t have to be anything that take a lot of time. Just something that’ll get your energy up and your thinking focused on what you’re shooting for.
I, like everyone else have the intention of doing it everyday, but of course being human there are days when I don’t do it, although I stick to this routine more often than not, and on those days that I don’t, I could tell the difference. I feel differently, not as focused, and my thoughts are more scattered. But when I do my EMSR, the day just seems to flow better and I have more energy to devote to my projects.
