Dear Business Builder,
We’re all doomed.
The stock market has suffered a huge blow and it seems that it’s just beginning.
Banks are going by the wayside.
Your home equity is plummeting and the guys responsible for this mess are now trying “fix” it by sticking their nose where it doesn’t belong.
You can’t turn on the TV without hearing doom and gloom.
So how do you protect yourself, your family and your business against all of this.
I’ve been lucky to have been in the financial services industry for quiet some time now. And I’ve always taught people to do, what most people know, but still don’t do it.
And that is Read the rest of this entry »

Are You Infected With Failure?
September 9th, 2008 Vitaly Grinblat
The finalist of the U.S. Open, Jelena Jankovich, ending up in 2nd place and getting $500,000 in prize money was infected with failure.
This was comment from the commentator about her game in 2006 when she lost over 30 games in row.
He said it was as though she was infected with failure and even considered quitting the sport.
But this girl is a fighter and a competitor which ultimately makes her a winner.
In the last two years she’s played more games than anyone else in the world, 167 I believe (I could be wrong but it’s around that number).
Working her way up from the bottom of the barrel to #2 spot in the world. At only 23 years of age, she’s already got over $5,000,000 in prize money, not counting her endorsements.

So what’s the lesson here?
It’s a all about being mentally tough.
It is unfortunate but in our society defeat is treated like failure. Failure is such a negative word, it sounds like it’s permanent.
You know when you don’t pass an exam in school, what do you get an F, which means you’ve failed.
And so from the very early childhood and all through our school years we’re taught that failure is bad.
I know this is somewhat elementary, and I know that you know that failure is just a stepping stone. But that’s not the issue. The issue is that most people may on a logical level understand this, but on the emotional level, unconsciously they label themselves as failures.
You see all this programming that we’ve received from school about how bad this F is, is deep within our unconsciousness. And even when you begin to understand that failure is just a stepping stone, that setbacks are necessary and simply require you to correct your course, BUT on the subconscious level (which by the way dictates what you really think, feel, and how you act) you’re still a failure.
Now how do I know that? Read the rest of this entry »

You Can Change Your Life With This In Just 120 Days
September 5th, 2008 Vitaly Grinblat
You have less than 120 days left in this year, and it’s January 1st 2009.
Sounds like from a fiction movie.
Anyways, where’d the time go? Remember all those New Years resolutions you’ve made in what seems like last week?
So how are you doing with them?
You see, I’ve noticed an interesting thing over the years working with people. Everybody sets big goals in January. They’re going to conquer the world. They will double, triple, no quadruple their income, lose weight, stay fit, save more money, and on and on…
But as time passes they forget about them.
They make a list, tuck it away and never look at it again.
And then another year goes by and they’re at it again, make a list, and …. 2 weeks later they forget all about it.
Well, today my kid is back to school, actually she’s starting 1st grade, and as I’m driving her in the morning I see all those school buses and a new school year is beginning.
So I thought, why do we have to wait until Jan. 1st to set some goals, 2008 isn’t over just yet.
As far as I’m concerned today is the absolutely perfect time to revisit what you’ve set for yourself and give it a push to finish off the year with a bang.
We have less than 120 days in the year, so why not set and achieve some real goals for this year.
By the way IF you do this, it will put you in the top 3% of the people in the world who actually set goals.
This is something I like to do once a quarter.
First of all it gives me an opportunity to review my progress, then it allows me to refocus my thinking, my energy and keep my conscious mind on track, while at the same time reinforcing this programming in my subconscious mind.
I went ahead and recorded an audio for you so you don’t miss a thing.
Go ahead and listen to the audio as I will walk you through the process and the specifics of how you can have set yourself up to have this be your best year, in just 120 days.
You might want to get out a sheet of paper so you can jot things down and when you hear some ideas that inspire you or things you want to add to your goal list make sure you note them.
Feel free to share your comments as you begin to put this into practice.
And have your greatest year in the next 120 days.
Best,
Vitaly

Tennis Anyone?
September 2nd, 2008 Vitaly Grinblat
Here’s another quick example how we truly attract people and events into our lives.
I love playing tennis, but currently don’t have anyone to play with. Mostly because I don’t want to play in the evening when most people are off of work.
Anyways, I thought about it recently, how I’d like to find someone to play with regularly, especially now that I’m watching the U.S. Open.
Last night I get a call from my neighbor down the street, and he wanted to see if I wanted to play tennis with him on a regular basis.
Where did that come from?
It couldn’t possibly have anything to do with the fact that I’ve had this intention for sometime now, could it?
