Yesterday I took my daughter to see Kung Fu Panda. I thought it was awesome.
I have to admit, I love martial arts movies (and cartoons).
But to me there was much deeper, positive message in this kids cartoon.
Po, the clumsy panda noodle-maker who always dreamed of being a kung fu fighter, accidentally got a chance to be among the best of kung fu students and study with the great Shifu, a protégé of the great kung fu Master Oogway.
Being chosen as The Dragon Warrior, only he could read from the sacred Dragon Scroll that contained the secret of extreme power, and who ever read it would be lethal in his skills.

After opening the scroll, Po saw that there’s nothing there. But just a little later he realizes with the help of his father, that the secret power is inside.
His dad a famous noodle-maker was known for his special secret ingredient, finally let Po in on the secret…
The secret is that there’s no secret ingredient. It’s what you put into it yourself. In other words, the sacred scroll reveals the wisdom of the fact that the promised power of the scroll is already inside him.
Think about this.
Everything that we want to attract and achieve in our lives already exists.
This is one of the hardest things for most people to comprehend.
Your ideal life, the things you want, the money you’d like to make, the relationships you’d like to cultivate already exist as a possibility.
You have everything within you to manifest each and every one of those things.
But it’s the realization of this fact is what’s important.
When Po, finally realized that he’s equipped with everything he needs, and that the power is already within him, he’s faced with a feared opponent, a villain and former protégé of the Great Shifu, Tai Long.
Known for his incredible strength and having defeated the best of the masters, including Shifu himself, Po fights him and defeats this beast.
What’s interesting, is that Tai Long, too wanted to be chosen as the Dragon Warrior, but wasn’t so when he snatches the sacred Dragon Scroll out of Po’s hands, and finds nothing there, disappointed he all of a sudden starts losing his strength, while Po is getting it.
Yes this is only a cartoon, but it is so true.
When you lose belief in something, you also give up power at the same time.
Beliefs are what fuels our faith. I can go and on about this.
But I’ll wrap up with this.
Go see this cartoon. If you have kids, take them as they’ll enjoy it, just like my daughter did.
And see if you can relate to what I’m talking about here.
I believe each one of us has the secret power within us, in fact, I know it to be true.
It’s just that most people don’t know it, or don’t believe it.
And the truth is, that whatever you believe with conviction is true for you.
Tomorrow I’ll share with you another story about beliefs and the magic of dreams.
For now I’ll go enjoy the beautiful Florida weather, and get some ice-cream I promised my daughter.
